A Janakpur-Kathmandu Buddha Air flight has been cancelled after a mouse has turned up on board the plane. The aircraft was ready to take off when passengers spotted the mouse.
Now, a check is underway for any technical issues at the hands of a team of engineers, said Jagannath Niraula, the spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The flight was scheduled at 9:15 am with 49 passengers on board.
The plane had taken off from Kathmandu to Janakpur at 8 am. The flight will take off only after the completion of the check, said Dipendra Kumar Karna, the information officer for the Buddha Air. The passengers took a flight to Kathmandu from Janakpur on another aircraft, he said.
