5 Lakh Squatters To Be Managed In Upcoming Fiscal Year

The government has come up with a plan to grant land to 5 lakh squatters across the country in the coming fiscal year.

Presenting the government policy and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year of 2081/82 BS (2024/025), President Ramchandra Paudel said that the problem of landless people will be fixed by managing 5 lakh landless people.

He stated that the government's land use policy would be implemented, collaboration between the three levels of government would be strengthened, and efforts would be made to maximize the benefits of the land.

President Paudel stated that in addition to providing irrigation infrastructure for 3 lakh hectares of arable land, the government will also focus on developing irrigation projects of national significance.

There is a practice of the President presenting government's annual policies and programmes in the joint sitting of the federal parliament before the presentation of the budget 15 days later.
