Kathmandu, June 12: Eight people died on the spot when a passenger bus met with an accident in Buchakot, Namobuddha Municipality-2, Kavrepalanchok.
The passenger bus with registration number Ba 2 Kha 8398 going from Banepa towards Roshi rural municipality met the accident as it fell about 200 metres down from the road in Buchakot around 2:15 pm today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista at the Kavrepalanchok District Police Office said that 16 people, including the driver, were injured in the accident.
According to DSP Bista, the injured ones are being treated at Dhulikhel Hospital. Further details about the incident are awaited.
