Dhorpatan (Baglung), July 13: A landslide along with debris flow this morning at Belbagar, Jaimini Municipality-8, has blocked the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor Highway, a national pride project.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Twati from the District Police Office said that traffic in the area has also been disrupted due to the damage to the road from the landslide.
He said that efforts are being made to clear the road damaged by the landslide. Due to the landslide completely blocking the road, transportation in the southern part of Baglung is at a standstill.
Deputy Superintendent Twati stated that works on opening the road is hampered because the mudslide continues. Since there is no alternative road for the corridor, passengers have no choice but to stay there until the road reopens.
