Taplejung, Nov 22: The Pathibhara area, having a popular shrine in the district, has witnessed the first snowfall of this season. With light rains occurred on Friday afternoon, the snowfall began since last night.
The snowfall caused cold, an employee at Pathibhara Area Development Committee, Rajendra Mahat, said, adding that the Committee has urged the pilgrims to maintain alertness to fend off cold.
It has however not impacted significantly to the visitors at Pathibhara area. Rather, they have got the opportunity to relish the snow after conducting prayers at the shrine.
The devotees have thronged the area since early morning.
