Standard Chartered Bank has announced plans to donate USD 100,000 (13.3 million rupees) for humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Jajarkot and Rukum West.
The donated amount will be handed over to the British Red Cross, which will help support the Nepal Red Cross Society in providing medical aid as well as other assistance to the quake survivors.
“We are deeply saddened by the damage caused by the earthquake and stand in solidarity with the victims. As the only international bank in Nepal, we are in a strong position to be a force for positive change in times of need. We hope our donation will help the relief efforts and support those who have been severely impacted by this unfortunate disaster.
