Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said the government will declare those who lost lives for the cause of the people's war as national martyrs.
On Sunday, during an interaction with the family members of martyrs and missing warriors of the People's War, Prime Minister said that preparations are being made to declare national martyrs.
The preparations are being made to honor the martyrs who contributed for the major political change in Nepal, he said.
Prime Minister Dahal informed that the government is preparing to declare the martyrs of all movements, including the people's war, as national martyrs.
Stating that the Bill on Truth and Reconciliation has reached its final stage, the Prime Minister said that the rest of the peace process will also be completed soon.
"Based on the principles of transitional justice, the Truth and Reconciliation Bill has moved forward," he said, "Honoring the martyrs of the people's war, compensating their families, and educating their children will be done by preparing laws."
