Sindhuli, Sept 5: A pedestrian was killed and a next one was injured after a truck hit them at Kamalamai Municipality-9 in Sindhuli district along the Madan Bhandari Highway this morning.
Chief of the Sindhuli District Police Office, Superintendent of Police Lal Dhowj Subedi said that the Kathmandu-bound truck from Biratnagar knocked Bhuwan Bhujel to death.
Another pedestrian Tek Prasad Dahal was injured in the accident and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Sindhuli.
Losing control over the speed, the vehicle collided against a house on the roadside. The wall of the house has collapsed and around 20 birds kept in the house died in the accident, according to the police.
