The Supreme Court has issued an order, seeking submission of High Court Patan's document relating to a marital rape case involving suspended district judge Bhuwan Giri.
A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada and Justice Sunil Kumar Pokharel issued the order seeking the court document.
The High Court Patan had issued order that it was not necessary to remand then judge at Rupandehi District Court, Giri.
Similarly, in the same case, the District Court Kathmandu had earlier ordered to release Giri in bail. Against this, Giri's spouse had appealed at High Court, Patan.
Objecting to the case upheld by the High Court, she even moved the SC.
