Kathmandu, Aug 21: The prices of gold and silver have gone up in the local market today. The price of gold increased by Rs 3,300 per tola (11.66 grammes) and that of silver by Rs 130.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of hallmark gold has been set at Rs 316,700 per tola. The price of pure silver has been determined at Rs 4,985 per tola.
Hallmark gold was traded at Rs 313,400 per tola and pure silver at Rs 4,855 per tola on Thursday.
The price of one ounce of gold is 4,540.18 US dollars and that of silver is 68.92 US dollars in the international market today, according to the international media.
