The Nepal Student Union has protested, demanding the suspension of the former home minister and Nepali Congress leader Balkrishna Khand, who has been arrested in connection with fake Bhutanese refugees scam.
Students, disguised as prisoners, protested against top leaders hesitancy to take any action against Khand.
Khand was detained by police for further investigation into the case.
So far 12 people have been arrested over the scam while others two accused former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN -UML secretary
Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Neeraj Rai, the son of Indrajit, have been absconding since the warrant issued against them.
UML has already suspended Rayamajhi after he was officially alleged for his role in the scam.
