A video of the Dalai Lama kissing a minor on the lips and then encouraging him to "suck his tongue" has sparked controversy.
The viral video shows the Dalai Lama laying a kiss on the boy's lips as he leaned in to pay his respects to the spiritual leader.
The Buddhist monk can be seen putting out his tongue and asking the minor to suck it. In the video, he can be heard asking the underage child, "Can you suck my tongue?"
Twitter users has reacted angrily to the video.
Joost Broekers, who shared the video on Twitter, commented, "So the Dalai Lama is kissing an Indian boy at a Buddhist event and even tries to touch his tongue."

Another twitter user Saif shared his thoughts with the video, writing, "Trigger warning: Pedophilia
Dalai Lama calls up a minor boy, kisses him on lips, asks for a tongue kiss as well. Also, notice where he takes the boy’s hand. This is disgusting and appears to be a case of child molestation."

"What exactly am I seeing?" Is this indeed the Dalai Lama? He should be arrested for pedophilia. "Disgusting," Jas Oberoi tweeted.
In 2019, the Dalai Lama had sparked a huge controversy for saying that if his successor were to be a woman, she should have to be "attractive".
"If a female Dalai Lama comes, she should be more attractive," he said.
The comments, which attracted criticism around the world, were made in an interview with the British broadcaster aired in 2019 from the Nobel peace prize winner's exile in Dharamsala.
He later apologised for his controversial comments.
