Nawalpur (Nawalparasi), May 4: The continuous rainfall occurring since last night has disrupted the vehicular movement along the Narayanghat-Butwal section of the East-West Highway.
Madhu Nepal, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Information Officer of District Police Office, Nawalparasi Purva, shared that the road was closed as the vehicles skidded off the road following the rain in Daunne area, which is under construction now.
DSP Nepal has urged the passengers and drivers to use alternative routes since the road is completely closed.
Likewise, the vehicular movement along the Kanti Highway is obstructed as a diversion in Bagmati river near Bhimphedi in Makawanpur district was washed away in the flood this morning, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
The area has received continuous rainfall since last night.
Police personnel have been deployed in the site to resume the vehicular movement, DSP Shyamu Aryal said.
Likewise, the travelers have been urged to use other routes to travel from Hetauda to Kathmandu.
