Property worth millions gutted in a fire occurred last night at Sindhuwa bazaar of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality in Dhankuta district, the District Police Office, Dhankuta, said.
Property worth Rs 4.9 million including five houses were destroyed in the fire, police said.
Chairman of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality Chhatra Subba said that preparations were ongoing to provide relief to the victims by deploying a disaster management team of the rural municipality.
Cause of the fire is still unknown.
