
The Society of Consulting Architectural and Engineering Firms (SCAEF) Nepal, in collaboration with the Construction Business Development Implementation Committee (CBDIC) and the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN), has launched a four-day training program on “Urban Road Planning and Management” in Biratnagar.
The program was inaugurated on Sunday by Bhim Parajuli, Minister for Tourism, Forest and Environment of Koshi Province. Among the distinguished attendees were Prof. Dr. Padma Bahadur Shahi, Chairman of the Nepal Engineering Council; Er. Jagarnath Shah, Chairman of the Nepal Engineers Association, Koshi Province; Prof. Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director of the School of Engineering, Purbanchal University; and Janasewak Bhandari, Chairman of FCAN, Koshi Province.
The training has brought together representatives from provincial and local governments, the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, the Department of Roads, municipalities, engineering colleges and universities, consulting firms, construction professionals, and various professional organizations.
According to the organizers, the program aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge and technical expertise in the planning, design, operation, and management of safe, sustainable, and efficient urban road systems. The participation of stakeholders from government agencies, academia, and the private sector is expected to foster meaningful knowledge exchange, professional networking, and collaborative learning.
