
Kathmandu, Feb 7: Actor Sunil Thapa passed away today at the age of 68.
Thapa died of a heart attack, according to Mohan Niraula, president of the Film Artists Association, said
Actor Thapa had been rushed to Norvic Hospital in Thapathali earlier this morning after he was found unconscious in his sleep this morning.
The hospital declared him dead after a preliminary examination,” said Niraula.
Thapa is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The family members are reportedly coming to Nepal from Mumbai, India, where they reside. Thapa had been living in an apartment in Shankhamul, Kathmandu.
The late actor was acting in both Nepali and Indian films since a long time.
He was particularly popular through the character 'Rate Kainla' he played in a Nepali movie.
He also played the role of the coach of Indian Actress Priyanka Chopra, in the film based on Indian champion boxer Mary Kom.
