Krishnanagar (Kapilvastu), May 16: Two women died being knocked by a speeding car at Basantapur in Buddhabhumi Municipality-1, Kapilvastu.
The car hit them along the Gorusinghe-Arghakhanchi road section as the two were on a walk this morning, Police Inspector from Area Police Office, Gorusinghe, Birat Sharma Paudel said.
The deceased are Shanta Khatri, 60, and Til Kumari Rayamajhi, 65.
Critically injured after the incident, both Khatri and Rayamajhi breathed their last on their way to a hospital.
Police have held car driver Khimraj Shrestha, 32, of Sainamaina Municipality-5, Rupandehi district.
