Just a year ago, I was at the exact same position as you. SEE exams right around the corner, last minute revisions and the weight of expectations on my shoulders. But you know what? I survived and even scored a 3.96 GPA. So, if you are feeling anxious and confused, take a deep breath. You have got this.
One of the biggest blessings for me was my parents. They never pressured me but always supported me. This made a huge difference because, let’s be real, society already overwhelms us students enough. From distant relatives asking, “SEE ma kati lyauxau?” to endless comparisons with toppers, the pressure is real. But here’s the truth, the constant exams, tests, pre-boards and revisions have already prepared and trained you well. You’re more prepared than you think.
Last Minute DO’s:
DO Revise smartly: At this point, instead of learning new topics or unnecessary complicated things, you should focus on important formulas, concepts and definitions. You have to go through past papers well because SEE often follows a pattern and some questions ten to repeat.
DO manage Time Properly: No matter how prepared you are, if you don’t manage your time properly and panic during the exams, you might have a hard time scoring your desired marks. So, you should prepare for it by simulating the exam hall by yourself. You should solve past papers by setting a timer and evaluate how you perform.
DO take care of your health: We all know, a healthy body = sharp mind. You should get enough sleep, eat light and healthy and avoid stressing yourself.
Last minute DON'Ts:
Don’t Cram the Night before: Our brain needs to rest well to function well. Instead of cramming many topics, you need to revise key points, formulas and ideally solve a model question paper. Then, you must sleep for 8 hours so you are in your best form.
Don’t Compare yourself to Others: Every student has their own pace and are unique in their own way. Just because your friend finished everything doesn’t mean you’re far behind. Stay focused on your own progress.
Don’t Overthink the exam: If you enter the exam hall thinking that you'll fail, you’re setting yourself up for panic and anxiety, Instead, go yourself with confidence. Your preparation will definitely carry you to success.
Conclusion: SEE isn’t the final test of your life; it’s just one step of your journey to greater things. The result won’t define your capacity or your future success. What truly matters is the hard work and discipline you have put in. So walk into the exam hall with your head held high. You are ready and you are capable. And this is just the start of your journey of greatness. Keep working hard and success will follow.
Good luck, SEE students. You can do it.
