Mahendranagar (Dhanusha), Dec 27: The players of Janakpur Bolts, the title-holders of the first edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) T20 Cricket Championship have participated in a 'trophy parade' in Janakpurdham today.
They arrived in Janakpur on Thursday and have kicked off the Trophy Parade in Madhes Province from today. The players have participated in a grand procession that went around Janakpurdham town today, the first day of the Trophy Parade.
The Parade set out from the Ramjanaki International Stadium and concluded on reaching the iconic Janaki Temple premises after passing through Thapa Chowk, Pidari Chowk, Ramananda Chowk, Bajranga Chowk, Bhramarpura Chowk, Zero Mile, Bishwokarma Chowk, Murali Chowk and Ram Chowk along the way.
The civil society, youths, sports-lovers and members of the general public also participated in the Parade.
Janakpur Bolts clinched the title of the Championship defeating Sudurpaschim Royals by five wickets in the final match played at the TU Cricket Ground in Kathmandu on December 21.
