An Indian bus heading towards Kathmandu from Pokhara was plunged into the Marsyangdi River from Aanbu Khaireni of Tanahun around 11:30 AM on Friday.
The bus (UP 53 FT 7623) heading towards Kathmandu from Pokhara fell some about 150 meters from the Prithvi Highway into the river, said Deputy Superintendent of Police in Tanahu, Deepak Kumar Raya. Indian tourists were traveling in the bus, he added.
According to the Armed Police Force (APF), at least 10 to 11 people have been killed in the accident, and further rescue is underway.
However, the number of passengers has not been ascertained yet. The rescue team has reached the incident site for search and rescue efforts.
