In a very tough competitive game, Nepal defeated Iran to reach the final of the CAVA Women's Nations Volleyball League.
In the match held on Tuesday at the National Sports Council complex in Tripureshwar, Nepal defeated Iran in straight sets of 25-21, 28-26 and 25-20.
With the win, Nepal is to play against India in the final of the League.
Earlier, Nepal and Iran had entered the semi-finals of the League scoring second and third in the points table, respectively.
After the historic victory, Nepal's chief coach Jagdish Bhatta shared happiness saying that Nepal achieved success by learning lessons from past mistakes.
Prior to this, Iran had defeated Nepal by 3-2 sets in the second match of the league stage.
In the final match scheduled for Wednesday, Nepal will face India with the high morale of defeating India in the league stage.
The first semi-final between Sri Lanka and India played on Tuesday concluded following India's victory in straight sets of 3-0.
