Vice President of Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) and Member of Parliament from Tanahun-1 Dr Swornim Wagle has said that Tahanun district should be developed as a sports hub.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the inter-local level volley competition organized by Tanahun District Volleyball Association, Dr Wagle Tanahun district has immense potential in sports also due to its central location in the country and called for its development in a planned manner.
Saying that Nepal has made immense progress in the sports sector, Dr Wagle shared the amount of budget allocation for the upcoming fiscal year has increased for the sports sector as well.
He also pledged to take initiatives to do something for sports development in the district.
Dr Wagle also pointed out the need to advance sports diplomacy in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the final match of volleyball being held between Ghiring Rural Municipality and Shuklagandaki Municipality was postponed due to storm and rain as both teams played one each victory.
