Voting for the by-election to the House of Representatives (HoR) member held in Ilam constituency-2 concluded today. Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav shared the by-election was largely peaceful, encouraging and cordial.
The details of the voting are being entered in the information system of the National Election Commission, it is shared.
Around 57 per cent votes were cast in the by-election here as per the preliminary reporting, CDO Yadav informed. The ballot boxes are being brought to the counting center. The constituency has a total of 115,889 votes.
Ballot boxes will be transported to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer since this evening from all the polling stations where the voting has been completed. CDO Yadav said necessary arrangements have been made so that ballot boxes can be transported from all the areas by 10 pm.
