Kathmandu, Aug 27: The Indian government is to send the second phase of humanitarian aid and disaster relief for the flood victims in Rasuwa.
External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar shared on social media this morning that 37.5 tonnes of materials have been sent to Nepal.
"A second flight has just taken off, carrying 37.5 tonnes of HADR material, medicines & food packets for Nepal.
India remains in close and continuous touch with the Nepalese authorities. We will continue to strongly support the ongoing relief efforts," the Indian External Affairs Minister said in his Twitter post.
The Government of India had earlier sent 10 tonnes of relief materials to Nepal on Wednesday night for those affected by floods in Rasuwa.
