The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has upgraded India's economic growth forecast for 2023 to 6.3 percent from 6.1 percent, it said in a report on Tuesday.
The revision has been made in the IMF's October 2023 World Economic Outlook report that was released on Tuesday.
"Growth in India is projected to remain strong, at 6.3 percent in both 2023 and 2024, with an upward revision of 0.2 percentage points for 2023, reflecting stronger-than-expected consumption during April-June," the IMF said.
The report said the global economy continues to recover slowly from the blows of the pandemic.
