Police have arrested 10 people on charges of vandalism in Manma, the district headquarters of Kalikot, in the course of a protest outside the District Police Office.
The protest was staged demanding action against those involved in the disappearance of a local Gita Kumari Jaisi Shahi.
Shahi along with her four-year-old son had gone missing since Thursday night. Police located them in Neplagunj on Saturday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Arjan KC of the District Police Office, Shahi’s husband’s first wife had filed a police complaint against 11 people.
The accused have been detained for further investigation, said police.
