The Mint Division has weighed the gold, seized from Sinamangal while departing the Tribhuvan International Airport, on Monday.
Thaneshwar Acharya, Head of Mint Division, informed that the gold retrieved weighed 60. 789 kilograms.
The melting of the gold will done tomorrow.
A team from the Department of Revenue Investigation had confiscated the gold hidden inside brake shoes of scooters imported by Ready Trade Pvt Ltd, on July 18 after it had passed undetected through the airport customs.
The confiscated gold was sent to the Mint Division of the Nepal Rastra Bank on July 20.
