An 11-member subcommittee has been constituted, to debate the transitional justice measure.
The sub-committee was constituted today at a meeting of the House of Representatives' (HoR) law, justice, and human rights committee.
Suwash Chandra Nembang, Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, Ramesh Lekha, Jeevan Pariyar, Susheela Thing, Santhosh Pariyar, Goma Labh Sapkota, Purna Bahadur Gharti, Ranju Kumari Jha, Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, and Sher Bahadur Kunwar are members of the committee led by Mangal Prasad Gupta.
Gupta, the chairman of the subcommittee, stated that the subcommittee will submit a report to the committee within three weeks after holding a clause-by-clause discussion with stakeholders and those who have registered amendments to the bill to amend the Commission on Enforced Disappearance Act and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act 2071 BS.
The subcommittee will choose its own coordinator and work processes.
