Tek Nath Rijal, the bhutanese refugee leader has been arrested on suspicion of his involvement in a fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
Today, Rijal was detained on accusations of assisting in the relocation of Bhutanese refugees to a third-country settlement, as per Nepal Police.
Rijal was detained in Jhapa and sent to District Court for an extension of time after being questioned at the District Police Range in Kathmandu.
He is a Bhutanese refugee residing in Nepal.
