Lawmakers have demanded investigations and action against those involved in a looting incident took place in Balaju, Kathmandu, on February 13. The looting took place taking advantage of a protest movement launched by the transport entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the zero hour in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Surya Thapa said the government should not keep a mum on the incident while asking it to inform the parliament about details of the incident.
Lawmakers Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Shishir Khanal and Shankar Bhandari and demanded a stern action against the guilty in the incident, and compensations to the victims.
Similarly, Gyan Bahadur Shahi drew the attention of the government to manage prompt security referring to the incident.
