The meeting of the 10-party ruling coalition is scheduled for today at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar.
The alliance met on Wednesday evening to discuss the vice presidential election, but the meeting was rescheduled for today as no agreement was reached on naming the official candidate for the vice presidency.
Despite the leaders' desire to make JSP's Ramsahay Yadav a joint candidate, the Janamat Party maintained its position but was unable to reach a consensus.
The coalition's vice presidential candidates are Ramsahay Prasad Yadav of the JSP and Mamta Jha of the Janamat Party. The parties are debating whether to make one of the two candidates the alliance's common candidate.
Today's alliance gathering will include the top leaders of the ruling coalition.
