President of Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, has been brought to Pokhara for investigation related to the case of fraud under the Sooryadarshan Cooperatives Credit and Savings Ltd, and related organized crime.
The former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister was arrested from Kathmandu on Friday and was brought to Pokhara by road after District Court Kaski allowed the police to take him into judicial custody for investigation into the case.
According to police, Lamichhane was taken to the District Police Office Kaski around 3:00 am after a health check-up at the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences. Lamichhane will be produced before the court only tomorrow as today is a public holiday.
