
Kathmandu, July 19: The prices of gold and silver increased in the domestic market today, compared to Friday, the last day of the week.
The price of gold soared by Rs 1,900 per tola (11.66 grammes) today, the first trading day of the week, while silver's price reached Rs 4,240 per tola, following a rise of Rs 40, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The price of hallmark gold is determined at Rs 284,000 per tola today. On Friday, it was traded at Rs 282,100 per tola.
According to international media, gold is being traded at US Dollar 4031 per ounce while the silver's price has been fixed at US Dollar 56 per ounce.
