Ganesh Nepali Succumbs To Burn Injuries After Self-Immolation

A man who sustained burn injuries in the course of attempting self-immolation has died amidst the treatment at Bir Hospital today.

The victim is Ganesh Nepali, aged 25, from Mugu's Soru Rural Municipality-1. He was declared dead by doctors at around 11:30 am on Friday, according to the SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of the Kathmandu Police Range.

Nepali attempted self-immolation by pouring petrol on himself in front of the Passport Department in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, on Thursday.

Following the incident, he was rushed to Bir Hospital and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
