
Madhyabindu (Nawalparasi), March 30: At least 12 people were injured after three vehicles collided head on this morning in Gaindakot Municipality-9 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Sustapurva) along the East-West Highway.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Yubraj Khadka said that the passengers carrying bus (Lu Pra 01-001 Kha 0910) on its route to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj collided with a pick-up van (Ba Pra 01-028 Cha 5004) and a truck (Ba 3 Kha 3163) from the opposite direction.
SP Khadka said that 32-year-old truck driver Indra Tamang of Khandadevi Rural Municipality-4 in Ramechhap district; van driver Darshan Kapri, 33, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12, and bus driver Mohansingh Balami Magar of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-20 were injured in the mishap.
Likewise, nine passengers travelling in the bus also sustained injuries.
All the injured ones were rushed to the health facilities in Chitwan, according to police.
