
The Peter Memorial Fund Announcement and Tribute Offering Ceremony was held in memory of the late American educationist, Dr. Peter Hodge Prindle, jointly organized by Bigutar Bikas Foundation, Nepal, and Biraj Samaj.
Dr. Prindle is widely recognized for bringing international attention to Bigutar through his book, Fifty Years in Bigutar, Nepal: The Collapse and Rebirth of a Community (1971–2021), and for his significant contributions to the region’s educational development.
Organizers announced that NPR 5,93,267 had been pledged by various donors for the establishment of the Peter Memorial Fund, which will be managed by Bigutar Bikas Foundation, Nepal.
The event was attended by Chief Guest Prof. Purushottam Dahal, along with Chairman Netra Prasad Dahal, Advisor Keshav Dahal, Patron Harihar Dahal, Founding Chairman Giriraj Dahal, and others. Speakers highlighted Dr. Prindle’s contributions and expressed confidence that the fund would support future educational initiatives.
The program was chaired by Ram Prasad Dahal, Chairperson of Biraj Samaj, and conducted by Dilli Prasad Ghimire, Secretary of Bigutar Bikas Foundation. Speakers noted that the fund would play an important role in preserving and institutionalizing Dr. Prindle’s legacy.
