
Singer and actor Prashant Tamang has passed away today at his residence in Delhi.
He rose to international prominence after winning the title of Indian Idol, a victory that also made him immensely popular in Nepal. Several Nepali songs sung by Tamang went on to become audience favorites.
Alongside his singing career, Tamang was also active in acting. He made his debut in Nepali cinema with the film Pardeshi and later entered Bollywood with a role in the Salman Khan–starrer Battle of Galwan.
His untimely passing marks a significant loss to the Nepali music and arts community, which has lost a gifted and versatile artist.
