Kathmandu, Oct 26: The recent drop in gold and silver prices in the international market has affected the domestic market as well.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association said that gold is priced at Rs 241,900 per tola (11.66 gram), while the price of silver is set at Rs 3,015 for the same weight today.
Following the Tihar festival, gold prices have fallen by Rs 11,600 per tola, and silver has decreased by Rs 265 per tola. On October 20, gold was valued at Rs 253,500 per tola, and silver was priced at Rs 3,280 for the same weight.
According to international media, gold is currently trading at 4,113 US dollars per ounce, and silver at 48 US dollars per ounce in the global market.
