The movie halls that were shut following the Gen-Z protests has reopened across the country from Monday.
A meeting of the movie hall operators and Nepal Motion Picture Association, the umbrella organizations of movie distributors, held on Sunday decided to run the film halls considering the security of the audience and film halls.
Association's Chairman Narendra Maharjan said that the cinema theaters across the country except the Biratnagar-based movie hall of QFX would be reopened from Monday. The QFX in Biratnagar was destroyed following the arson and vandalism by the protestors.
He added, "We are running the film halls by giving top priority to security. We are returning to the normal situation as public life returns to normalcy."
He mentioned that the film halls would be closed before 10:00 pm.
