Kalikot, April 1: INF Nepal handed over emergency rescue materials to the District Disaster Management Committee under the District Administration Office, Kalikot, during a program on Monday.
To enhance the effectiveness of disaster management and rescue operations, INF provided assistance worth approximately NPR 146,000. The donated materials included life jackets, torches, helmets, gloves, fireproof raincoats, fire extinguishers, crowbars, ropes, goggles, masks, and a total of 23 different types of essential equipment.
Receiving the materials, the Chief of the District Disaster Management Committee and Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kalikot, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, expressed his gratitude to INF Nepal. He stated, "Disaster incidents such as floods, landslides, and fires frequently occur in the district, necessitating immediate rescue and relief efforts. We sincerely thank the organization for providing these essential materials." He further emphasized that these materials would facilitate rescue operations and help address the persistent shortage of necessary equipment.
CDO Bhattarai added, "Not only the government mechanism but also the collaboration of donor organizations is essential. With the continued support of organizations like INF Nepal, disaster management efforts can be made even more effective."
The handover program was conducted at the District Administration Office, Kalikot, in the presence of representatives from INF Nepal, officials of the District Disaster Management Committee, and other concerned stakeholders. It is believed that this support will significantly aid in rescue and relief operations during disaster situations.
