Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a partnership with Veda Hospitality Private Limited, part of the Golyan Group, to manage the upcoming Hyatt Regency Lumbini, set to open by 2028.
This will be Hyatt's fourth branded hotel in Nepal, further expanding the company’s footprint in the Southwest Asia region.
The hotel will offer 175 rooms across an expansive 11-acre site, designed to merge modern aesthetics with traditional Nepali architecture.
“We’re excited to strengthen our presence in Nepal, an important market for Hyatt,” said Dhruva Rathore, Vice President of Development, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt.
“Lumbini’s profound spiritual significance makes it an ideal destination for a Hyatt Regency property,” he added.
Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of Golyan Group, added, “This collaboration with Hyatt allows us to create a world-class hotel that celebrates Lumbini’s cultural heritage while providing exceptional hospitality.”
Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is a renowned destination for spiritual and cultural tourism, with key attractions like the Mayadevi Temple and the Ashoka Pillar.
With the addition of Hyatt Regency Lumbini, Hyatt now has 52 properties across Southwest Asia.
