Nepal has entered the SAFF U-20 Championship final by defeating Bhutan on Sunday.
In a match played at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Nepal secured its place for final after it played against Bhutan 4-1 in a tie breaker. It is the first semifinal.
Goalkeeper Jiyarath Sheikh failed three Bhutanese players in scoring goals, which paved Nepal's journey to the final.
In the first attempt for the tie breaker, Ran Thapa scored a goal for Nepal, while Jetsen Dorjey for Bhutan. Similarly, Avinash Syangtan did the second goal, while Gigmey Nyamgel's attempt failed the target.
Similarly, for the third round, Ugwen Jigme' attempt shot was blocked by Jiyarat Sheikh of Nepal.
Jiyarat scored a goal for the fourth time that led to Nepal's win.
Earlier, both teams had done one goal each in the stipulated 90 minute. At 56th minute, Bhutan had taken a lead.
For the second semifinal of the championship, India and Bangladesh are playing on Monday.
