The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has suspended Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain of the national cricket team.
President Chatur Bahadur Chand informed today about the decision to suspend Lamichhane from domestic and international matches following the ruling of the Kathmandu District Court that convicted and sentenced him of rape.
On Wednesday, the District Court sentenced cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, who was convicted of rape, to eight years in prison and five lakh rupees in reparation.
