The police have made public a person involved in transacting over Rs 240 million through online betting.
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Pintu Kumar Sah, 30, of Damak Municipality-12, from Jhapa and made him public on Friday after bringing him to Kathmandu, said Superintendent of Police, Rabindra Regmi.
Regmi added that Sah was arrested from Jhapa based on the complaint that he made transaction of Rs 241.5 million through online betting and games misusing internet against the rules of the National Rastra Bank. Sah has been sent to the District Police Range, Teku for further investigation into the case.
