The remains of the deceased were discovered at the crash site, according to Basantakumar Bhattarai, the Chief District Officer of Solukhumbu.

The helicopter was piloted by Captain Chet Bahadur Gurung with five Mexican passengers on board.

All five foreign passengers are members of a Mexican family. They have been identified as Sifuentes G. Fernando (95) and Sifuentes Rincon Ismail (98), both males, along with three females, namely Sifuentes Gongalez Abril (72), Gongalez Olacio Luz (65) and Sifuentes G. Maria Jese (52).

Chairperson of the Likhupike Rural Municipality Mina Karki Basnet informed that the helicopter was found to have crashed at the Lamjureko danda in Bhakanje of the Likhupike - 5.

The accident site at Lamjura is located at an elevation of 3634 meters. Locals are looking for the missing.

The craft en route to Kathmandu from Surke of Solukhumbu went out of contact at 10.01 AM.

According to the spokesperson at the Tribhuvan International Airport Teknath Sitaula, the chopper was in contact while it reached Lamjura. Then the chopper went out of contact.
