Chitwan reports a death from COVID-19 on Saturday.
According to the Health Office Chitwan, the deceased is a 64-year-old male of Bharatpur metropolis-10.
Office Chief Durga Chapagain said he was under medical treatment for pneumonia and was found infected with COVID-19 on April 13.
There are 10 active cases of COVID-19 in the district at present and are in home isolation: eight in Bharatpur metropolis and one each in Ratnanagar and Kalika municipalities.
The Ministry of Health and Population has appealed to all to stay aware and alert in view of the growing cases of coronavirus infection. Everyone is recommended to take vaccine against the coronavirus.
