The Nepali Congress has decided to become a part of the ruling government.

The decision was made by the party's Central Executive Committee during its meeting held at the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament on Sunday. Dr. Prakasharan Mahat, the spokesperson for the Nepali Congress, told the media after the meeting about the party's decision to give Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal a vote of confidence.

He stated that the government will expand following Prime Minister Dahal's vote of confidence. He stated that the decision was made with the assumption that the government will work toward the safeguarding and strengthening of the constitution, the development and prosperity of the larger country, and central stability.

According to Mahat, the meeting resolved to congratulate Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, who was elected the Vice President. He stated that, beginning with today's parliament meeting, Congress would be on the ruling side as opposed to the opposition.
