The newly-elected President Ram Chandra Poudel will take the oath of office and secrecy today.
The President's Office will hold a special ceremony at Sheetal Niwas to administer the oath to President-elect Poudel.
Under the Nepalese Constitution, President-elect Poudel will take the oath of office and secrecy before Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki.
According to the Constitution, the term of the President is five years from the date of his or her election to the post, and a person elected twice to the post is not allowed to file for candidacy for the same office again.
Poudel was elected president on March 9.
