The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show cause order against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' refusing to grant any interim order .
After hearing on the petitions filed against Prime Minister Dahal, a single bench of Justice Ishwar Khatiwada, issued the order.
The Supreme Court has ruled that no interim order is required.
A written response has been required to explain the delay in the transitional justice process for such an extended period of time and why the order should not be granted as the petitioner desired.
The Prime Minister, either directly or through his representative, and the other defendants, via the Attorney General's office, must file a counter-claim if the order requested in the demand is not to be given, the order read.
The order states, because of the relevance, gravity, and sensitivity of the issue addressed in the writ petition, the bench has given it priority, and it should be resolved as soon as possible.
