Maghe Sakranti festival starts in Devghat

The Maghe Sankranti festival was inaugurated this morning by erecting a bamboo lingo in the Beni of Devghat.

With this, Maghe Sankranti Festival has started at Devghat, a holy pilgrimage site. According to the chairman of Devghat Area Development Committee, Badri Adhikari, devotees have started coming this year with the formal inauguration of the fair.

He said, "The fair, which was stopped for the last three years due to covid, is about to restart." He informed that the preparations for the fair have been intensified.

The committee has estimated that five lakh devotees will be present for the festival.
